Gas gauge prob with '11 V6

While traveling from maryland to indiana yesterday i noticed that when I got down to 1/4 tank approx 3.5 to 4 gallons of gas it was telling me 90 miles til empty and 10 minutes later it went 4, 3, 2, 1 and 0. I think it probably needs re-flashed or something but i thought i'd put this out and see if anyone has had a simular problem with the lates v6's.

the miles to empty has never been terribly accurate on any newer ford i have owned. I really wouldnt sweat it, nor would I trust it.

Smart move. I had a fuel gripe with my 07. They couldnt find anything wrong the system but the problem never came back either.

Have to agree with you on the gas gauge. They are nice to follow, but I would never trust the numbers. The calculation is based on the usage for that tank. If you change from highway to drag racing, the computer does not compensate very quickly.
