Pulling my hair out part 2

(NW)Drake

who said that getting old sucks :-P
Ok so guys u already know the problem. Well its changed 180 out so instead of rich and back firing its now lean and I can hear my valves at wot. Ive replaced EVERYTHING to include 2 dif mafs now and 2 dif sets of o2s and the valve and lean thing didnt happen untill after the new o2s. Could this be a grounding issue?

for code 12
Service Code 12 indicates that during Engine Running Self-Test, engine was unable to achieve the Self-Test upper limit band.

Possible causes are:
-Open or shorted circuit
-Throttle linkage binding
-Improper idle set
-Throttle body/ISC solenoid contamination
-Items external to Idle Speed Control System that could affect engine rpm.
-Fault ISC solenoid
-Faulty processor

Step 1 Turn off car
Step 2 Connect engine tachometer
Step 3 Start Engine
Step 4 Disconnect ISC harness connector
DOES RPM Drop or stall?

With the ISC disconnected run your code scanner again.

We are looking for EGR Codes now..
Do both KOEO and KOER

Post your codes..

I will have to do it later today I get off at 5
Alright if you get the same codes above 41,91

  1. Key Off
  2. ISC solenoid disconnected
  3. Disconnect processor and inspect both 60 pn connectors for damaged or pushed out pins, corrosion, loose wires, etc.
  4. Leave the Processor disconnect
  5. Check resistance between Pin 21 on the CPU Harness and the ISC solenoid connector
  6. Resistance should be less than 5 ohms...

4. Codes 41/91 (Lean Condition) specific tests:

4a. For codes 41/91 (lean condition), it is always recommended to check the condition of the HEGO GND circuit (pin 49 at ECM connector), a bad/open ground circuit will cause lean readings from the O2 sensors. The HEGO GND is an Orange wire, with a ring connector, that goes bolted to the back of the driver side cylinder head. Identified as item #19 in the following harness diagram.
