WARNING: Mustang Wheel Fit Information

OK all, I figured it was good to pass this hard-learned information to all those that have Mustangs from 2005 to 2011.

If you have factory rims from a 2005-2009 Mustang V6 or GT, those Rims will not fit on the 2010-2011 Mustang V-6 or Mustang GT.

If you have Aftermarket Rims that fit 2010 Mustang V6, they will not fit on 2011 Mustang. The New 2011 Mustang GT (5.0) have alot larger brakes and rotors. Talked to a friend at Drew Ford and they are checking into if 2010 V6 can share Rims with 2011 V6's.

The mirrors from the 2005-2009 Mustangs will not fit on the 2010+ Mustangs without some minor boring out of the holes (approx, 3/8") to make fit. The internal electric mirror parts from the 2005-2009 Mustangs will not fit in the 2010+ Mustangs. And just because Ford is funny this way, those internals from a 2010 Mustang Mirrors will not fit or work in the housing of the 2011 Mustang mirrors because of the new intergated blindspot mirror that Ford intro'd for the 2011 models.

If you have the engine covers (the ones that cover the battery and brake cynlinder) that fit on the 2005 - 2009 Mustang V6 and GT's, those will not fit on a 2010 Mustang V6 or GT with out a slight modification to prevent rubbing. Those same covers will not fit at all on a 2011 Mustang GT.

If you have MGP Caliper Covers that fit on the 2005-2009 Mustang V6 and GT's, they WILL fit on the Mustang V6. But those same covers will not fit on the 2011 Mustang GT.

The Ponies in the grilles of the 2005 - 2009 Mustang V6's and GT's are different from the 2010+ Mustangs. All 2010 V6's and GT's have the SAME Ponies in the grille as the 2011 Mustang V6 and GT's. Just the v6's have normal Chrome and the GT's have Black Chrome Ponies.

I hope this helps someone, cause I wish that someone could have gone thru this first for me.

You know, back in the day, anything from a 1979 Mustang would fit up to a 1993 Mustang. So much for parts interchangeability!
