What parts require a Tune?

What parts require a tune?
1. Mass Air Meter
2. Injectors
3. Head Swap
4. Cold Air Intake (CAI) on '05 and up Mustangs
5. Tires - On later vehicles if the diameter changes significantly, the revs/mile will be off so the speedometer will be off and shift points in an auto transmission will be off.
6. Camshaft swaps
7. Adding more boost on your Supercharger / Turbos
8. Installing a Supercharger or turbos / Nitrous
9. Long Tube Headers
10. Intake

Generally do NOT require a Tune:
1. Cat-back exhaust
2. H or X pipe - Some Mustangs need the rear 02's shut off.
3. Ignition
4. Spark Plugs
5. Underdrive pulleys

K&N cai is tune free I didn't get a tuner for mine until 4yrs later.

Sorry but, K&N is crap on the new cars.. The CAI are made of plastic and with all the heat under the hood that plastic heats up and in turn heats up the air flowing thru your intake. Sending you intake temp up not good..

Have you ever touch your K&N CAI after driving it a couple of hours?

Look what happen to Gibs when he put a CAI without a tune..
