My history with JBA is as follows:

Welded in subframe connectors: Excellent Work.

Replaced heads on car twice: First set of heads I found head alignment pins in my oil pan, second set of heads they put the wrong spark plugs in the car...RIDICULOUS!! Perfomance Shop...HARDLY

Replaced wheel bearing and mechanics on rear brakes: Pics are below. WOW...couldn't even put the same bearings on each side. OH!!!! Installed the WRONG bearing and seal on the driver side of the car. JBA is a JOKE and PLEASE.....NEVER take your car to that so called Performance Shop...NOT WORTH $100 an hour...not evern worth $10 an hour!!!

First Pic: wrong bearing, this is for my year car, but it has a plastic retainer vice the metal retainers on a performance bearing...the plastic was broken and the bearings were eating themselves. Perfomance Shop?? You decide!!
Second Pic: side by side
Third pic: right bearing with a metal retainer

Yes, I had to flush the axle to remove all the metal shavings. ::

I woulda stopped going to them after they put wrong spark plugs in. Definitely due a refund in my opinion.

My T-Bird's motor and trans was built and installed by them back in 2006. I haven't had any issues at all but I have heard a lot of complants from other people. I say you raise hell and get your 250 back.

Unfortunately, the bearing were installed prior to the spark plug screw up. I just found the problem...3 years later. Good thing I decided to upgrade my diff and axles.

My experience has been you always need to bring your own parts, even to shops that specialize in performance.
Of course this then becomes an "easy out" for them to not offer any type of warranty!?
This catch-22 becomes worse as state and local governments could potentially legislate new restrictions on who can perform work on cars, or restrict access to parts.

While I've never had any work done by JBA, I have a hard time understanding why anyone would given all the horror stories about them.

Just really glad you caught this before locking up a wheel at the track or on the interstate...
