To one and all...

It's been 6 weeks since the MBTB show. I had fully intended to come on line and express my graditude for your support of the MCSD, the show and the charities we donate too.

Unfortunately I had surgery just after the show and this is the first time I've had the opportunity to communicate our Thanks to the Wicked Stangs.

The car count exceeded all expectations with 346 cars. The raffle was a huge success and the Boy Scouts said they had the best show they've ever had. By all reports the show was one of the most successful shows of all time for the MCSD. As a side note, we felt the 2011 show was better managed with fewer cars so we will be looking at streamlining the event, what that means we won't know until we have a new chairman and board...stay tuned for our decisions regarding the show..

Elections of officers will be held next week and I have submitted my name for car show chairman one more time...this year I have competition from a member who wishes to be show chairman, so we will see what the general membership decides. In any event, we hope to see you next year. A tentative date of Oct 6th has yet to be confirmed by the Port Authority...

Best regards,

Ron Gregory

In any event, we hope to see you at the show next year.

Ron,
Hope you are recovering well from your surgery. We would also like to thank you for a wonderful show, again. We wish you luck in the upcoming election and hope you get re-elected. I don't see why not considering the success you have brought to the show since you become its chairperson. You can count on us to being there again to lend our support to a great cause and a great show. We always have a great time there.

Ron you don't even have to ask if we'll be there next year cause will be bugging you to let us in. Great show as always. Can't wait till next year. I've already set aside a spot in my trophy case.

You guys are the greatest...

Let's hope the general membership feels the same way you do, I had a lot of fun doing the show with some surprises at the end which made it interesting...Surgery went well and I'm told total recovery will take 6 months. I knew I needed the surgery about the end of August but asked the surgeons if I could hold off until after the show. I got permission but it was stressed not much longer...It was a roll of the dice and with prayers and well wishes from the few that knew what was going on, all worked out well...I don't believe many of you are but if you are members of the BCSD, the ballots are in the Nov/Dec Pony Express. In addition to me asking to be show chairman, Eldy Johnson is running for President...

Thanks again, see you in Dec if you'll be attending the car show at South Bay Ford? It's a small show put on by Beach Cities Mustang club...Eldy, Tony will be doing the ballot counting and I'll figure out something to do..

This show will always be specifically remembered by me, my first trophy won that day. Can't wait to continue to show my love for the stang and represent Wicked Stangs in the years to follow. Thanks Ron for putting together something so memorable for everyone.

Oh man they were awesome, I loved that there was some legit weight to it too, like if you dropped it your toe it wouldn't exactly feel good haha

I love the trophies. Your show always has the best, and I do mean best, trophies out of all the car shows I go to every year. Can't wait to see what they will look like next year. The suspense is killing me. I'd loved to be asked to see and if you want my opinion on next years trophies. That would be cool. Hint hint hint :)

And they were metal, not plastic or resin...but don't count on that every year...It's getting tougher to figure out what trophies to buy and stay within a budget...We spent almost $5,000 on trophies...Tell me another show that does that....Always lookin for ideas...
