RIP, the world has lost a true legend and American hero. But his memory and spirit will live on in every motor sports enthusiast and every vehicle that took inspiration from him.

The thing that is sad..is that the shelby cars are going to sky rocket now....

++ Damn, Damn, Damn!!! R.I.P. Caroll. The world has truley lost a great man and inspiration to the muscle car as we know it today. Did he ever get the first test drive on the 2013 GT500 like he planned? Anyone know? :(

It won't, Shelby simply had his name associated with the GT500, it's done by ford and svt.

well same could be said about the shelby gt....its just a gt that Shelby's factory bolted on ford racing aftermarket parts he really didn't have anymore to do with those than he had with the gt500

The Man was an American (Texas) Icon! From chicken farmer to International racing legend! winning Le Mann in a pair of bib overalls, he showed the europeans what a Texan could do! Lets not get into a Shelby GT vs. GT 500 debate... All registered Shelby vehicles will become highly desirable...

Good luck with that Steve. They will be as desirable as any other special edition, low production mustang.
