Back from the sea

Hello everyone, Its been a long time since I have checked in here as there has been a LOT of stuff going on in my life since I left last November. Our WestPac deployment was a success in the fact that we didn't have to kill anyone and everyone came home safe and sound. Tessa gave birth to our new baby Daughter Elizabeth Hope Ooley on April 2 2012 at 1430 in Balboa Naval Hospital. I was fortunate enough to be waiting on Facebook on the day she was born and got word within minutes of her birth. Since coming home our ship has been gone for most of the summer with trips to the Seattle Seafair, Santa Barbara, San Diego fleet Week, Coronado speed festival to name the high points this summer. The Cobra came out of hibernation with only a loose starter wire which was causing intermittent fail to fires LOL. Anyhow I have been spending every moment at home that I have had with my wife and Elizabeth. I am looking forward to getting together with you all at some point in the near future as our ship is approaching an extended inport period which will give me more time on dry land.

I hope everyone has had a good 2012 and has been as blessed as I have been.

Thanks everyone, wanted to make the cruise today but we had family pictures planned since a few weeks ago. Anyhow it looked like you all had fun and maybe I can get in on the next one.
