Have a White 96 Ford Mustang Convertible V8 GT had it for some years now. It has ran smooth throught the years but recently it has been loosing its power. Any suggestions on how to improve its performance and what can be the cause?
The pix show the Black 69 Mustang California Special that I will be taking to the KPF event, because the 96 will be in the shop.

Welcome. You own a 69 so obviously i am ruling out plugs, filters, etc because i am sure with holding a car for that long you've gone through those before and have used that experience to rule that out of the 96... So my guess is maybe fuel related or there was this great article I read once about the gas pedal and adjustments and tricks for better response over time. I'm sure CWO will chime inon this one with more info on this and other possible causes. Kinda hard to diognose without more specific symptoms to go off of.

I agree that perhaps it has something to do with the fuel or gas. Taking it in the shop on Saturday but wanted and idea, you know how it goes when you take a car into the shop and you don't give them specifics. They'll try to come up with things that the car has that are unheard of.

i would replace the fuel filter and the filters on the fuel pump itself or possibly even the fuel pump itself. I did that to my roush and it woke the car back up from a sleep

Thnx for the feedback guys! Now that some of us agree as to where the problem might be. I'll feel a bit more confident when I take the car in the shop.
