So we're talking about doing a cruise before the Chili's event on the 23rd, and suddenly my suggestion for a pre-run tomorrow becomes an event of its own!

This is a cruise in two parts:
  • First leg is a shake-down on part of the route I have planned for the 23rd, with a stop in Jamul.
  • Second part is our quasi-traditional run out the 94 to Campo, then up Sunrise Highway through Julian to Santa Ysabel for pie.

Meet spot is at the Murphy Canyon NEX
3601 Santo Rd San Diego, California 92124
Meet up @ 0730
Roll out @ 0800

There is an opportunity to join us later at the AM/PM in Jamul. We should be there about 0900, and roll out @ 0930.

Trixx will not be joining us. It's Saturday, so she'll be at the Happiest Place on Earth...

hmm I may be running in a super charged Miata, a friend is having some medical issues and hasn't been able to drive his car in a long time so I told him I would take him out and put some miles on her and clean the pipes out.

We had a pretty good turn out for such short notice.

We rolled with 7 cars at about 8:15, and pulled into Jamul at 9:30. We had zero traffic after passing Sycuan Casino on Dehesa Rd.
There were a ton of bicyclist out today on Dehesa and Japatul, which made this trip a little dangerous. I will need to adjust the route for our cruise on the 23rd!!

Most everyone continued on to the Campo/Sunrise/Julian (pie) run. I was the only one who split early, and went to the Car Show in Santee instead.

A good clean run on some very twisty roads. This was my first time planning and leading. Hope everyone had as much fun as I did!

Sorry I couldn't make this. I love that run. I won't be able to do another Saturday until November 6th.
