Daily deal websites have become so popular that many are now focusing on one niche and building an entire community around it. This is great for people who have a passion for what is offered, as these sites allow them to grab great deals on the things they love most. One of these daily deal websites is Tanga.com, which caters to puzzle and game lovers. We recently took a peek inside Tanga.com for our daily deal website reviews. Our Favorite Tanga Feature:
We liked that we could earn products or other awards just from playing games. Until recently you could use the points you accumulated to buy stuff or swap points for Tanga cash. The system changed recently. Now Tanga members can only earn prizes by winning the bottom feeder contest or by being a monthly point leader.


The Tanga Experience:
Tanga.com offers low-priced deals every day, but they are more than just your average daily deal website. It is more of a place to hang out, have fun, make friends, win prizes, and buy great stuff for dirt cheap.

The first thing we noticed when we entered Tanga was the current daily deal, but Tanga had a wealth of other features too. After we checked out the main deals (which can change at any time), we decided to move on to the “Play” section of the website. Here, we could play five different games including Bottom Feeder, Cryptopixes, Hypercrosses, One Word Wonders, and Random Questions. We also noticed that each game had an orange star with a number on it. We soon discovered that that is part of a points system. The first 100 people to complete that puzzle will get that many points added to their account. You can then win prizes by being a monthly point leader.

We then moved on to the “Contribute” section of the Tanga website. Here we could create a Cryptopix or One Word Wonder, or build a Hypercross for other members to play. We could also submit a question to be included in the Random Questions section. We had to sign up before we could even try to view this section of Tanga, but it was well worth it once we did. It was a lot of fun thinking up new games for others to play.

Next, we moved on to the “Stay” section. Here, we could monitor where our friends were at on Tanga and what they were doing, we could view the current leader boards to see where we and others currently ranked for the month, and we could also invite our non-Tanga friends to join the website.

Lastly, we checked out the site's “Discuss” section, which is the part of Tanga that allows us to meet and hang out with friends. Of all the daily deal sites we encountered, Tanga.com was one of the most well-rounded and a site we'd like to come back to for more than just great deals.

On the day we visited the site, Tanga was selling Geek Wars Deck 1: World Championship Dodge Ball and Scavenger Hunt for $16.99. The suggested retail price on this item is $50, so Tanga saved us more than 50 percent off retail.


Tanga Customer Service:
Unlike many of the daily deal websites on the Internet, Tanga offers live phone support. They were one of the only sites to do this, and it did a lot to impress us. They also offer email support, which proved to be very responsive, getting back to us the same business day. If you're a stickler for great service, Tanga is going to be one of the only sites worth seeing.

Upside:

Great deals on puzzles, play and create games, live phone support.

Downside:

They have stopped allowing everyone to redeem their Tanga points for Tanga cash and prizes. Now it is just the monthly point leaders and the daily winner of the Bottom Feeder game who get anything.
