hi all, about 5 months ago i bought a used 2007 roush 427r mustang and have been reading up as much as i can on it to get the most out of my car. started some simple mods but hoping to expand, currently in process of swapping out superchargers to a tvs. awhile back saw a mean sounding cobra with a wickedstang sticker at the chula vista dmv and knew id eventually end up here. you guys have a great site and hope i can learn alot from you guys. just wondering ive read on here about a shop you guys go to where members help each other out, not a mechanic by any means but hoping to start doing my own stuff, any info on that would be appreciated thanks all

yeah man just ask, the 427's are great out of the box but like most of us there is always room for improvement. Have you done anything to it yet? Intake, a pulley and a tune and you should be making some very good numbers!

thanks for the info & welcome guys, im not mililtary so i dont think ill have access to the shop, the only time ive been on base is thru work as i work for an ambulance company that has a contract with the military to take pts to balboa, other than that i may be sol. and yes DSGimportslayer thats the one, i hope i can check out that monster one of these days. ill have to talk to 1WKDRSH and see what kind of numbers hes getting out of it curious to see what ill be getting into. and northerncountry, i installed an intake and pulley making just north of 410 rwhp but ive gotten use to it and that only made me want more! i just finished putting on a dual fan heat exchanger and will look into lca and uca after the tvs. this care is gonna make me broke but i figure im doing my share to stimulate the economy.

Lucky, there are enough military here to get you on base if you need. Just need to hook up with one of the active or retired military and can sponsor you on base. Most of us non-military (active or retired) can get on base with a day pass with a military sponsor. We do a lot of work on Miramar so if you need something done, post up on the Wickedstangs Garage and see if we can get something together to help you out with the install.

the reason i said it was me was because i was recently at the chula vista DMV, and i saw a roush that day i remember. its not that loud anymore but working on it. my car is nothing special but you are more than welcome to check it out. just a pulley intake and exhaust. these guys still have a little trouble keeping up though lol.

Lucky yours wouldn't be the one at RPMM getting the TVS put in would it? if so very nice. I would however look at your brakes cause it seems very stock. And with all that extra power your gonna want extra stopping power as well

slayer that could have been me as im down by that area and i fart around the side streets of the dmv after hours practicing for my 1st track day...thanks northerncountry and yes that is mine...i wanted to install the tvs with some buddies but couldnt do it due to time constraints and being backordered for a month that messed everything up...so i took it to RPMM since ive heard good things from this site..and as it also gives me a reason to go down there and check out all the cool cars..i do intend to do brakes and a bunch of other things eventually when i get some time and recoup some money...havent been able to make it to some gatherings on the weekdays due to work but hopefully when i get my car back will go to some weekend events!!
