I like it. I like it a lot. I feel it's the perfect way to round out Ford's revamp to a modern global platform/chassis, along with the shared design language redesign of their entire fleet. I know it's not what some people wanted, but to my eye this car will be the perfect performance platform to carry the brand forward for the next ten years. Actually ,I love it. It's genius. Here's why:

Corporate look for North America circa 1996/1997 - - -

These all looked good for the times, I guess. It seems to have worked out for them, as they sold a sh!t ton of these cars. I drove a '97 T-bird for a while. But here's where we are today, 20 years later - - -

The sedans have very aggressive styling, which is a departure for the brand. Then Ford brings it full circle, giving their muscle coupe the same styling queues, but with even more angular cuts and bigger ducting.

I Love it!

I agree, however, I am excited what the back looks like, they have had that under heavy camouflage so that you can't see the angle of the roof or anything. And I hear a lot of people saying it will be the next mustang 2, but everybody forgets that they sold like hot cakes. And that is exactly what ford needs the mustang to do

Front end looks good, but I worry about the rear of the car. If the back end looses the muscle car look, sales will tank. People dont buy Mustangs for the Euro Look, nor do they buy them for the gas milage; there are plenty of Fords that cover those requirements. This has to be a "HIGH" HP, road gripping, visually mean...MONSTER. If the car does not meet these requirements you can throw a ram or a bowtie on the front..then FORD can go ask for a bail out next year.

Ahhhhhh, but when the 1979 mustang came out it too had a very European look, and look how well the fox body has done.

Tell me what European car does a fox look like? Not one European car that has a hatchback, 8 cylinder and a solid 8.8 rear axle. The Euro marketplace has never been about muscle. Now the Mustang II is a Euro piece of crap.
