You can try to get them smog anyways. What aftermarket parts do you have? Maybe the tech can't tell the difference between stock and aftermarket parts.

CAI, T/B, and Plenum those are the only ones you can see visually. I think it will pass the sniffer I do have cats and my exhaust its pretty new so should be efficent.

I could just do it but, it might be a waste of $50.

Always save the stock parts to avoid the headache. I'd say go in and talk to a few shops before u waste money and they fail you. Not to mention that once u fail you are labeled a gross polluter and have to smog every year

See this sucks because I bought the car with those modifications so I don't have the stock parts. Also, I have to do this only because its stupid regional policy not state enforced.

Yea just talk to a few shops. Show them pictures and be honest. Somebody should e cool especially if it passes emissions. If they say no at least the car isn't there for them to fail

Just borrow someone's stock air intake. Is your check engine light on?

Subzero- Its a K&N and I have a CARB sticker for it.

So since I have a CARB sticker for my CAI and am just going to try to say that the CAI, TB, and Plenum.

Look for a shop that will test your car as many times as you need until it passes. It is a little more expensive but not to bad and worth the gamble if you have doubts about passing. I had a Toyota rv that I didn't think would pass so I took to a place in Santee and of course it passed the first time. The place I went to is now a dealership but get online or in the phone book.
