Thinking about a new Ranger for the past couple of days now :)

Guys as the title says I have been thinking about a ranger after I left the dealer ship the other day. ( NEW SHO T. IS QUICK. WHAT A FAM CAR) Ok so the v-6 Mustangs have the Engine out of the Ranger. 3.0 and 4.0 ect. Now think about this if Im right. If the new Mustang is getting that 300HP v-6 will they be adding it to the ranger as well? What I was thinking about was a stripped down basic Ranger with the mustang v-6 motor. Now you add a Turbo or blower set up to the truck. Most 3vlv that are rated at 300hp and you add a nice S/C set up to the mix makes 500HP to the wheels. What if you got a ranger pick up stripped down and add a S/C and make 450+ to the wheels. This is nothing that hot rodders havent been doing over the past years. Take a light truck. ( ranger/S-10) Then you add a small block 302/350 and make a sleeper. What if the new ranger comes with 300 hp v-6 and you add a S/C? Now you have a sleeper truck with a 500HP to the rear wheels. Just something I thought I would share. Can you imagine one with a set of gears, wide tires, and ladders bars?

Just throwing the idea about the ranger out there. I was just thinking about it after we left dealership about the truck. I thought I share to see what you guys thought about the idea of a 300hp ranger.

light truck, strong engine ( if they put it in ) would = nasty burnouts and lots of smiles LOL

See up in wisconsin there were alot of guys doing 347 strokers with auto's putting them in rangers with 35" TSL superswamper thornirds and be playing in the mud ah the memories LOL

I just thought it would be cool if they did. N.C. just think if you got a 4x4 with that v-6 and added some F/I. you could put some 28 inch drag radials all four corners and lock it in 4x4 LOL You might even be able to rip off
a decent time at qualcom with that set up

the new v6 stangs will have a 3.7L correct, not a 4L. i doubt that engine will find its way in a ranger. then the ranger would have almost as much power as an f150.

Beejay It could find it way in there if they give the f150 the 5.0. Remember back in the day the F100-150's had anything from a 300 straight-6, 302, 351,360,390,351M,460. If they put the 5.0 back in the truck they will just give it a diffrent set of cams for more tq for pulling. So maybe the V-6 will find its way into a ranger or maybe you can special order the v-6 togo in the Ranger.
