Strapping a car to a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/dyno">dyno</a> and giving it the boot is not as safe as it might seem. Sure, the car is not actually going anywhere, but a lot of forces are at play in the drivelline. The owner of this particular <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/shelby+gt500">Shelby Mustang GT500</a> in the video available <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/12/02/video-ford-shelby-mustang-gt500-dyno-run-goes-boom-in-spectacul/#continued">after the jump</a>, learned this firsthand when his prized pony when boom.<br />
