What is the size of your rear tires?


I am wondering what is the widdest tire we can fit on the rear of a S197. I plan on stepping up to a 295x45x18 next and taking the front tires from a 245 to a 265 do get some more tire under the car. I dont want to add a 335 or something to the back cause I dont want the car to bogg of the line/stoplight. I wish BFG made a 305 45 in the KDW's. So post it how wide are your tires, and what is the widdest that you know of you can run on the rear of a S197 with no relocation brakets, fender trimming ect.

i got gt500 wheels they are 285/40/18 in the rear ans 265/45/18 in the front i want to run a bigger tire up front also for auto cross

for fronts i recommend the 265/35/18 Toyo R1Rs, they are a bit pricey but they grip like crazy, i love mine

Just keep in mind that 295/45/18 will turn your 4.10s into the equivalent to 3.89 or so. If you decide to go with 295/45/18 in the rear, I would go with 255/45/18 in the front. 265/40/18 and 275/40/18 would be a too short. Ideally 275/45/18 would be ideal but they are pricey.
