98 gt fuel tank swap.

Im thinking of doing this swap. I already have the tank with stock pump and sending unit. Alll I need is gt40 fuel pump and all the small conectors with the fuel line. I wonder If i need to do this. Or do they make a drop in fuel pump for the 98 gt. I just wanna do the cheapest tank swap or fuel pump swap that'll be good for 800 hp.

you can just install a walbro 255... or even 355 no need to change tanks

Already tried that. The 98s are variable speed pumps. Which is controled by voltage. The pump burned up in less than a year.

the 98 fuel system is a one-off. It uses the return style system from 87-97, but with an integrated sending unit and fuel level sensor like 99+.

Did you ever do the swap? I just put an aviator pump in my tank and a boost a pump. the pump only lasted a month before it went out. I would like to be able to run a walbro hp pump or maybe the new aeromotive in tank pump.
