Anyone want to help with a custom headlight idea?

I have an idea for some customization of my headlights.. i want to remove the clear plastic cover completely and the stock reflector/light and find a way to fit either an older round headlight into the bucket or just put in fog lights.. they seem to be bright enough to drive with as long as im not traveling in the middle of no where.. am going to try to make a more Retro looking mustang and this was one thing i had imagined.. was wondering if anyone would like to help me out with this when i get ready do do it.. any thoughts on this idea? good or bad idea?

Awesome idea.
To open your headlights.. Preheat your oven, yes oven, to 300 degrees. Throw the headlight lens inside for ten minutes and check to see if the sealant/glue is melted enough.. If not, throw them in for another 2 minutes at a time till you can safely pull the front piece from the back piece. At this time, the inside reflector should be warm enough to do what you wish with it..
This is what I might just do with my headlights..

Yeah.. I think I'm going to actually grab my stock headlights and use them for aux foglights.. Go to www.mikesmustang.com and it shows how to do the retrofitting of projectors and such.. I'm not going to give away what I plan on doing for headlights just yet lol.. Except that it involves GT500 center lights and housings.. ;)

That sounds sweet! You might want to check out the Chip Foose GT it has what your describing! Like the old school look of the 1960's Mustang fastbacks. It might help with your project. Keep me updated! I'm interested in how this will turn out!
