Smog legal intakes?

I'm looking at buying a cold air intake for my 98 GT. I know K&N is a good one but does exceed my pocket to much lol. How is BBK compared and it it legal. I can't seem to find anywhere if it will pass CA smog.

Cold air intakes that are smog legal come with a certification label that placed on the car. If you do not have the label, it's not "technically" smog legal. You can always go to the manufacturers page and it will tell you if the device is smog legal in all states. BBK is attached.
