VETERANS DAY SPECIALS 2009
Following are some Veterans Day specials for 2009. In addition to this list many companies, restaurants, and recreational sites offer military discounts which are not well advertised. When making purchases it is always a good idea to first ask if a military discount is available for your veteran status. Acceptable ID includes military ID, VA card, VFW card, American Legion card, discharge papers, DD214, or other veteran's ID.
NOV 6-11: Lowes is offering all active, reserve, honorably discharged retired military personnel and their immediate family members a 10% discount on in-store U.S. purchases made during the Veterans Day holiday Nov. 6-11. The discount is available on in-stock and special order purchases up to $5,000.
NOV 7-15: World of Coca Cola is offering military personnel complimentary admission and discounts of 50% for up to four friends or family members.
NOV 7-15: Georgia Aquarium is offering military personnel general admission tickets for $20 and a 10% discount in the Aquarium gift shops. For more details, go to www.georgiaaquarium.org/mil.

NOV 11: Applebee’s - On Wednesday, 11 NOV veterans and military personnel can choose from five dinner entrees which will be provided at no charge at participating stores during business hours at participating Applebee’s. For details refer to www.applebees.com/vetsDay/default.aspx .
NOV 11: SAMS CLUB will provide 25,000 HUGO folding canes at no charge to veterans of the United States Armed Forces in need of mobility assistance to honor them for their incredible contributions to our country. Canes will be distributed while supplies last and Sam's Club Membership is not required. The cane can be viewed at www.hugosalutes.com.
