X Pipe vs. H Pipe

Friend of mine is going to form me up some ss metal and I will put in cross baffles and insulate the top to cut down on the drone sound and weld it up with my trusty old mig

Good topic, I didn't know what to buy for my LX 5.0, but I think I will go with the H Pipe for that deeper sound.

H-Pipe will always sound better but the internet racers always say that an X-Pipe makes more power and they dyno the same HP and TQ. The location of an X-Pipe is very crucial as once the exhaust cools it does not create the same scavenging effect.

98 and back sound better thru a H pipe IMO. I run Bassani mids, X pipe no cats, thru SLP LM2 exhaust.....very raspy @ WOT. But that's what I like!
