if you're planning on keeping it and not selling it, price or value drop shouldn't matter. that being said, you should check to see if it's tweaked anywhere on the frame. if not, then it may be as simple as replacing a few body pieces.
but if the frame is tweaked, i'd stay away. you'd be putting your safety at risk, cause the car won't perform as it should in the event of another fender bender.
I couldn't agree more. Myz's Oldest son was killed in a 99 Lexus GS300 that previously had a accident and salvaged. The engine compartment did not crumble like it was designed too because the bodyshop weilded some cheap metal in place to keep the car for bending under the weight of its own size. and it caved in and trapped him in the driver seat. Had the vehicle been a non-wrecked car, the Investigator told us that that crash could have easily be one to walk away from.
Just take it for what its worth. sometimes it costs more to insure yours or your family's safety.
